my White/Tokou/Hilda cosplay from AniMinneapolis 2012.
I'm pretty happy with how well this pieced together for me, all things considered.
(the shoes were a last minute stroke of luck. If I had realized we had a pair of black shoes that actually fit me sitting in the closet this whole time I would have painted the bottoms pink, but at least I had pink shoelaces)

One person commented that I didn't rip my jeans, and I also realize they may be a bit long compared to White's but with my thighs, trust me, I'm doing your eyes a favor... :depressed: This is what 90 minutes a day on the stationary bike on the highest setting will get you....

Thanks :giggle:

The ponytail isn't actually my hair, it's one of those clip-on extension things that just happens to be the same color as my natural hair (my real hair is so short that I didn't even need to tuck it under the hat at all) and we did have a couple that were a bit "poofier" like White's but they weren't long enough.

Haha! I can't get over how awesome that trainer classification is, I think they actually had a class like that in the games, I can't remember what it was called though :/

Thinking of my lack of knowledge I looked up this picture for comparison [link] , and your costume is great. :D I hadn't noticed the bottom of the shoes, instead the red bag drew my attention, but it doesn't really matter. Looks great anyway. :)

I can't help but think you are envied by other for your stamina and willpower to pull your daily workout and the difficulty off.

This time, you have a more photo friendly pose without cuts being necessary :D

Truth be told, I don't think I've seen any oosplayers who will go so far as to make/have the bag so if that's really the only problem you see I'd say it was a success. :D

As for the picture, my mom took it outside the house before I left so there was much more room than the admittedly cramped hall where we took out pictures at Detour. Good thing, too because the lighting in the halls at this hotel were TERRIBLE!

If you happened to have red bag that fits, I would not even have noticed it's not the real one. I admit, I'm no expert at handbags ^^; But it doesn't change my opinion; The costume is great as it is! :D

I guessed it was outside (there are some details, like the light looks like natural light, and the little plant). And of course, for a good photo a quieter place than a hotel or a convention hall is better for a good photo, the results show the difference.

I did consider looking at the bags at work to see if we had one that would work, but to me it just seemed like something else to carry that could potentially get in the way. And while the same could be said about the Pokeball (or the wand for my ChibiMoon costume XD) it just seemed like a funner idea. :giggle:

And while I can't argue about the lighting, there are also some rather priceless photos that can take place during the convention itself. :D While in my ChibiMoon costumes here I did happen to run into two different Sailor Moons (one even accompanied by a Tuxedo Mask) and we ended up not being able to move for some time after we posed together both times because multiple people ended up taking pictures. :XD:

Either this or it could have been what bags were before they became accessories - store room, like for your Pokeball. :giggle: But if I had to choose one, I had also decided for the Pokeball, it's the more original idea.

These are the moments that can't be planned. I call this a success of your cosplay :D And the people who took the photos met the whole family very spontaneously. XD

True, but aside from my money, room key and and event schedule you generally don't have a whole lot of things to store when at a convention and when you do purchase things in the dealers rooms it's just as easy to run them back to your room to avoid having to carry around whatever treasures you may have found all day.

I would call it a success too because even when alone I seemed to been rather popular Saturday. :giggle: I's just a shame I didn't look closer at the Events Schedule because there was a "Pokemon Photo Shoot" Friday evening where I could have gone to and gotten a picture with the one Black/Hilbert cosplayer who was wandering around that didn't notice me while we were waiting in line for our badges/room check-in and I only saw again Saturday while in my Chibi Moon costume.

True, and aside from these necessary things, carrying around too much things amd watching not to loose or forget something can be annoying and distract. Good thing to have a room close by.

No wonder with a costume as well done like yours. :)The photo with the one who came as Black would have been cool, but with a cramped schedule to do all the things you want in only two days it's hard to get to everything; standing in lines and keeping track of the schedule included. But I don't doubt you got the one or the other treasure which make up for this one missed chance.
