Final piece for my month-long Pokemon/Fairy Tale challenge, The Snow Queen featuring ChosenShipping. This was another one that was on the "undecided" list, but the only real thing that was making me reluctant was that I wasn't completely familiar with the original story in contrast to the Disney "Frozen." And, no, Frozen actually WASN'T the source of the idea for me here, the real inspiration came from some animated version of the story I saw a loooooooooooong time ago. I recalled it involving a brother and sister (though, I guess in the original story they're just good childhood friends which is even more appropriate) and that, combined with Silver and Green's shared icy past made it just seem appropriate and reading through the brief synopsis of the original story on Wikipedia confirmed that the story would work quite well for these two. As per the theme of snow/ice I had originally intended to use the Mask of Ice for a "Snow Queen", but after thinking it dawned on me that Sird might be a slightly better fit. "Mask" was just sort of... bitter, but Sird on the other hand is a ruthless backstabber (or in other words... she's a cold-hearted bi*** 
) who also seemed to take a mild interest in Silver by way of Giovanni and it also spared me the gender-bending.
Onto the drawing itself: I'm a little happier with it now that it's cleaned up, but still not completely happy. This was my first time drawing Sird, so.... yeah. Kind of a shame it didn't really turn out like I had hoped since I may need her in the future for something unrelated, or even just for my month of Halloween in October (but... more on the relevance there when the time comes....) and there is also a very good reason why I don't draw Silver very often: in addition to him not exactly being my favorite character, he also somehow always comes out looking like a girl! >.< Curse your long-for-a-boy hair! But on the other hand... without really realizing it, I think I actually DID do a good job of making him and Green appearing young, so that's a plus- I MEAN it was TOTALLY intentional because of my skill! I also had intended on putting one of Green's Pokemon beside her, but I just couldn't decide on which one, but it's gonna be Blastoise since that the only one I could find a reference of at the proper angle to trace in.... and MAYBE I'll sneak Jigglypuff in there too just 'cuz it's a trademark for her.
Also: If Sird's outfit come out looking a bit like Elsa's... that is unintentional, and I swear it. The image I was drawing from was actually some kind of foreign-language (looks like it could be German, but given the source material for the story it could be Dutch)... I wanna say "book cover" and I think I may have just accidentally found what Disney based their final design on.... right down to the white hair, and the braid and everything....

The Pokemon Adventures Manga was written by Hidenori Kusaka and published by ViZ media. I do not own the character in any way, shape or form, I am just a fan!
