Description
Just something I've been wanting to draw ever since seeing Pokemon: The Origin. I don't know what exactly caused me to think about it, thought. Maybe the bit of nostalgia Cartoon Network whipped out over the last few weeks by showing the episodes where Ash caught Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle respectively followed the week after by a beautifully remastered "Pokemon: The First Movie".
I'm a little ashamed at how much trouble I had with Red's face here for someone who has been told more than once by different people that they are good with expressions, especially considering that it is what I REALLY watnted to capture here because he look just so adorable here (as cute as Ash, even) and I loved it even more considering Red ended up picking Charmander and Charmander was always my Gen I starter so I feel like I know this feeling.
Pokemon and all of its creatures/characters, including Red and Charmander n are (c) Satoshi Tajiri, Nintendo, Game Freak and all other respective owners may have missed/not be aware of. The Pokemon Adventures Manga was written by Hidenori Kusaka and published by ViZ media. I do not own the character in any way, shape or form, I am just a fan!
